Everyday Web Agents

General computer-use agents are beginning to arrive through practical web surfaces rather than standalone demos. Hark is positioning browser task handoff for everyday users, Cloudflare introduced an open workspace for agents and applications, and context.dev is selling continuously refreshed structured web data to more than 400 customers. Together they indicate a product layer where browsing, work context, and live web grounding are packaged as persistent agent infrastructure.

Research and product updates increasingly describe agents operating across real devices, browser context, GUI actions and CLI execution rather than only answering inside a chat window. The direction is important, but the current corpus does not yet establish reliable broad adoption. Confirm with independent deployments and repeatable long-horizon task results.

Computer-use agents are expanding beyond browser sandboxes into persistent desktop infrastructure. OpenWorker packages local task execution across files, applications, and services; Phantom operates in the current Mac workflow; Perplexity is positioning spare Windows machines as agent hosts; and StateAct shows that reliable long-horizon work depends on direct program-state access rather than screenshots alone. Together with the line's earlier desktop-software observation, this is now a repeated multi-source movement and crosses the threshold from watch to published.

A computer-use agent installed an unfamiliar desktop application and completed a multi-step 3D creation workflow with almost no intervention. This suggests that agent control may be moving beyond browser sandboxes into arbitrary professional software, but the observation still needs independent implementations and repeated real-world use before it qualifies for the published signal feed.
