AI Designs Viruses Against Bacteria
Scientists reportedly used AI systems to create 16 new viruses intended to combat bacterial resistance. The concrete mechanism is generative design moving from molecular suggestions into viable biological agents, which could open a new antimicrobial development path while also creating biosafety and validation requirements. This remains a weak signal because today's evidence is one reported study. Independent replication, laboratory efficacy, safety controls or a therapeutic development program would confirm or disprove the market hypothesis.
